On 18th November 2022, HWA PYP students attended the Affordable Art Fair at F1 Pit Building. It is the first international art fair to return to Singapore after a three-year pandemic hiatus. Students had the opportunity to view over 1000 original contemporary artworks from 80 hand-picked international and local galleries.
In addition to viewing the artwork, students were given the opportunity to design hands-on crafts. There were also opportunities in the exhibition for students to interact with the artwork. These experiences allowed our students to participate and co-create with artist works and activity stations. They were encouraged to touch, move, and interact with artworks, affording them hands-on participation through the various installations. Attending the art fair and appreciating the various art works inculcated skills such as curiosity and critical thinking.
