HWA International School celebrated Mid-Autumn Festival on Fri, 2nd October 2020, in line with our vision of internationalism and our mission of developing our students into bilingual global citizens.
Prior to that, students have made their own lanterns for the Lantern-Making Competition. They succeeded in incorporating Chinese cultural elements into their handcraft. The committee had prepared different traditional Chinese games for students to play on the day of celebration. They are Lantern riddles, Yi Ji Ji Zhong, Hou Yi She Ri, Shui Zhong Lao Yue, Poems and Tongue Twister.
Through these activities, the students learned and appreciated the Chinese culture and traditions. They will remember this special celebration together with their schoolmates and teachers.
