At HWA International School, we believe that education connects people and cultures through shared learning. This week, our campus welcomed two education delegations on different days — from the Golden Orient Education Group (China) on Tuesday and the Gyeongsangnamdo Office of Education (Korea) on Wednesday. Both visits created meaningful opportunities for professional exchange and cultural connection.
Educators from China, Korea, and HWA came together to engage in open dialogue about the shared goals of global education. Discussions centered on the principles of IB education — including inquiry-based learning, interdisciplinary thinking, and a student-centered approach. Teachers exchanged ideas on how to nurture curiosity, foster independent learning, and support students in developing critical thinking and cultural awareness.
Throughout both visits, HWA teachers shared the school’s holistic educational approach — one that values critical thinking, collaboration, and cultural understanding. The exchange highlighted HWA’s commitment to nurturing open-minded, reflective, and responsible learners who can engage confidently with a global community.
The visiting delegates expressed appreciation for the meaningful discussions and shared educational values. All participants agreed that education is not only about acquiring knowledge but also about building empathy, understanding, and collaboration — helping students connect with the world and grow as compassionate global citizens.
These cross-cultural engagements reaffirm HWA International School’s commitment to fostering international-minded education rooted in communication, understanding, and collaboration. Every exchange of ideas brings new perspectives; every meeting of cultures adds warmth and strength to the pursuit of learning.
