HWA International School’s 2024–2025 PYP & MYP Exhibition unfolded across our Marina Square and One-North campuses, transforming student learning into an inspiring showcase of creativity, inquiry, and meaningful communication.
At the Marina Square campus, our K1 students enchanted visitors with their handcrafted “Night Forest,” made from recycled materials and clay. This immersive display brought the mysterious world of nocturnal animals to life. Through bilingual storytelling in English and Mandarin, these young learners shared fascinating facts about animal behaviors after dark—proving that even the youngest minds can express deep understanding through art and observation.
Grade 1 students explored the theme How the World Works, diving into continents and oceans, planets in the universe, American Sign Language, and natural phenomena. Their diverse projects reflected curiosity, communication skills, and a growing awareness of the world around them.
In Grade 3, students presented bilingual research on space and ocean exploration and gave thoughtful English presentations on bullying, tying into the theme Challenges That Children Face. Their work demonstrated empathy, global thinking, and strong communication.
Grade 4 took a historical journey through their “Great Explorers” role-play and biography projects, portraying iconic adventurers with flair while honing their research and performance skills.
Grade 6 students examined how Human Survival Depends on Understanding Earth’s Changes and Finding Sustainable Solutions. Alongside research presentations, they built detailed models of natural disasters—including volcanoes, earthquakes, and tsunamis—to visually explain complex geoscientific concepts. Their work reflected not only scientific understanding but also a commitment to environmental awareness and responsible action.
At our One-North Campus, MYP students led an engaging showcase of their Theory of Knowledge (TOK) explorations and inquiry projects. These covered a wide range of topics—from facial makeup to the ethical dimensions of artificial intelligence. Students invited meaningful discussions with peers and teachers across grade levels, sparking dialogue and deeper reflection.
The Year-End Exhibition was more than an event—it was a celebration of the IB spirit: thoughtful inquiry, intercultural understanding, and the joy of learning. We thank our students, teachers, and families for making this journey a memorable one.
