Highlights from HWA’s Open Day

On October 28th, HWA International School welcomed parents and students to its Open Day event. The event started at 10 am, and throughout the morning, families arrived at the school to explore its facilities and learn more about the educational programs offered.

The school staff warmly greeted the visitors and guided them on a tour of the campus. Parents and students had the opportunity to visit the swimming pool, cafeteria, tennis courts, dance studio, and many other areas¹. They were impressed by the modern and well-equipped facilities that foster a conducive learning environment.

As part of the Open Day activities, the school arranged two informative presentations. The coordinators of the Primary Year Program, Middle Year Program, and Diploma Program explained the unique features and benefits of the International Baccalaureate (IB) curriculum at each grade level. Parents gained insights into the school’s comprehensive and well-rounded approach to education.

In addition to the presentations, the school organized hands-on experience sessions for Co-Curricular Activities (CCA) in the classrooms. Students had the opportunity to try their hand at various activities, including playing the Guqin (a traditional string instrument), practicing the art of tea-making, learning calligraphy, solving Rubik’s cubes, practicing karate, playing international chess,Experience the manipulation of drones and 3D printing. These activities showcased the diverse range of options available to students, allowing them to explore their interests and develop new skills beyond the academic curriculum.
