Grade 6 Charity Event

As an IB school, part of our international mindedness is dedicated to learning about global current events.

This week, after hearing about the devastating wildfires that are currently burning through Oregon ( where Ms. Keeley is from) and the Western United States, students initiated action to research and create a charity event to donate to organizations helping those suffering from this disaster.

Students hold a bake/ charity sale on Tuesday Sept 22nd during snack and lunch to raise money that will be donated to the American Red Cross and Oregon Humane Society.

Students have worked hard to research and create posters and advertisement, as well as plan their event. Moreover, the students have sold the lemonade, baked goods, small snacks, some toys and books. In additional, event also provided a donation box for those people that who want to donate.

Thank you for supporting the students as they put their efforts towards being thoughtful, caring, global citizens.
